GUEST SPEAKER PRESENTATION
Jupiters Theatre

International Guest Speaker - Tim League - Founder/CEO of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Drafthouse Films & Fantastic Fest

Tim League is part of the vanguard shaping the evolving movie-going experience. Known for the zero tolerance policy on mobile phones that forms part of the etiquette required of The Alamo patrons; this social media-savvy all-rounder is leading the way, with his unique programming and in-theatre dining offerings proving hugely successful, especially to tech-obsessed younger audiences.

Tim will present a stand-alone session and participate in the “Trends in Cinema” panel discussion. From his perspectives as an exhibitor, distributor and festival curator, he will share observations and strategies for how to better connect with cinema goers and understand what they want; build student audiences; make a candy bar funky; and find ways to optimise the movie-going experience.

GUEST SPEAKER PRESENTATION
Jupiters Theatre

International guest speaker -  Corinne Thibaut - Coca-Cola Services, International Director Cinema & Leisure, Belgium.

In this session, Corinne will share the outcomes from successful growth strategies implemented with exhibitors across Europe, present "The Retail Revolution” and touch on “Rebels with a Cause” and the importance of teen recruitment. Times are changing, consumers are changing, and cinemas need to review their growth strategies. While adapting to a new reality may seem challenging; it cannot be ignored. This session offers valuable insights for the Australian market: how to adapt the retail growth strategy, and ways to manage consumer expectations and maintain / increase profitability for exhibitors. Corinne will also discuss a hot topic - the sugar debate. With increasing pressure from the government to decrease sugar consumption, find out what new products are coming.
