2011 AIMC Gala Celebration and Industry Award Recipients

The closing night of the 2011 AIMC was a colourful event themed as 'Carnivale Of Colours'.  Delegates relaxed after a hectic convention week enjoying great food and drinks, great dance music and great company.  The evening's host was Todd McKenney who delighted delegates with his vibrant dance routine and comparing of the Awards presentations.

Award recipients were:

Murray Forrest Award For Achievement in Film Craft
Yoram Gross - animation producer and director

Female Star of Tomorrow
Sophie Lowe - for her role in Beautiful Kate. 
Presented by actor Rebecca Gibney

Male Star of Tomorrow
Lincoln Lewis - for his role in Tomorrow When the War Began.
Presented by actor Anthony La Paglia

News Limited Australian Star of the Year Award
Maeve Dermody - for her role in Griff the Invisible.
Presented by Ken Benson, News Limited

Outstanding Industry Achievement Award
Emile Sherman - Academy-Award winning producer for The King's Speech.
Presented by Andrew Mackie, Transmission Films
