2.00pm
News Limited presentation

The internet changed everything for media, marketing and content consumption. We now have the ability to deliver experiences that are at least as good as, if not better than, traditional media offerings. But now the landscape is rapidly shifting again with a global power struggle underway between traditional technology and media players, and innovative up and comers. The mobile market, and consumer desire for applications in particular, is proving to be a catalyst for disruption. Nothing is sacred in this full-blown battle for consumer attention and revenue.

Fresh from discussing these strategic themes with media and technology leaders in the U.S., Ed Smith will explore who the players are, what they are playing for, and what this means for media and advertisers.

Presenter: Ed Smith - Chief Executive Officer - Content and Commercial, News Digital Media

Wednesday 18 August

12.30pm
Going ALL-IN! on 3 of a Kind:  A punters guide to making 3D & 2D digital conversion a safe each way bet.

With digital cinema conversion on-a-roll around the globe, and down the road VPF deals moving from paper to practice, exhibitors large and small are blind-betting on big numbers from 3D and Alternate content to rake back their up-front stakes. So is 3D a sure thing? What are the odds of alternate content making-up a winning hand? Will changing windows shorten the odds? Will pricing keep you seated at the table and what other wild cards are on the horizon?

A royal flush of poker-faced leading industry pundits will put their cards face-up on the table and answer these questions and more from the floor.

Our panel, made up of local and international leaders from production, distribution, exhibition and technology will discuss all the important issues of the day in a dynamic and interactive 'Q&A' format.  As usual, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions from the floor, but to ensure all your important issues are covered we'd welcome question suggestions in advance.  These can be sent to the panel moderator Alaric McAusland via email alaric.mcausland@bydeluxe.com.

Moderator:
Alaric McAusland - Managing Director, Deluxe Australia
