What does the event entail?

The AIMC includes distributor film presentations, seminars, keynote speakers, trade show, gala evening events and much more.

Where is the event?

The event is held at The Pavilion Convention Centre, Jupiters Hotel & Casino Gold Coast, Broadbeach Island, Queensland, Australia.

What does my ticket include?

  • Full registrations include all convention activities covering meals, receptions, films, seminars and the trade show.
  • Daily registrations include all convention activities covering meals, receptions, films, seminars and trade show for the day of registration only.
  • Evening Function registrations cover the evening meal, and any other convention activities after 5pm for the day of registration only (this could include film, trade show, Awards ceremonies or seminars depending on the agenda).

 Please note that accommodation is NOT included in the cost of your registration and should be booked separately via the Travel and Accommodation form with Stage and Screen Travel Services.

How do I get my tickets?

Upon arrival, please ensure you register at the Convention Office, Broadbeach Room, the Pavilion Convention Centre, Jupiters Hotel & Casino Gold Coast where you will be issued with the final agenda, name badge and meal tickets.

How can I pay for my registration?

Full payment will be required BEFORE your registration can be confirmed.  There are three options for payment:

  1. Credit card - complete the details on-line via our secure booking section, or at the bottom of the Registration Form and return by fax, email or post.  Please note that a 3.5% credit card booking fee will be added to the cost of the registration.
  2. Cheque/ Money Order - make cheque payable to "The Motion Picture Exhibitors Association of Queensland" and post to AIMC, PO Box 667, STONES CORNER  QLD  4120.
  3. EFTPOS payments - (please ensure you fax, email or post a copy of your remittance advice to ensure your funds are allocated correctly)

What if I need to cancel?

We understand that circumstances change and you may have to cancel your registration.

Written requests via post, fax or email to cancel a registration will be processed in the following manner:

  • Received prior to and including 16 July 2010 - full refund *
  • Received between 17 July and 1 August 2010 - registration will be refunded less a AUD$77 (inc GST) per person administration fee *
  • Received on or after 2 August 2010 - no refunds will be issued

* If the original payment was made by credit card, there will be no refund of the 3.5% credit card booking fee.

Can I transfer my ticket to a colleague?

Written requests via post, fax or email to transfer a registration to another person will be honoured free of charge up to and including 1 August 2010, after which an administration fee of AUD$77 (inc GST) per person will apply.

How do I book my accommodation?

To ensure a place at the Convention hotel, we recommend you book your accommodation via our travel provider Stage and Screen Travel. Stage and Screen Travel also have access to a full range of other hotels and apartments on the Gold Coast.
