About AIMC

2010 celebrates the 65th Annual Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC)

Continually attracting record numbers of delegates from Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the United States and Europe, the 2010 AIMC remains the only event on the Australian industry calendar to provide opportunities to network with local and international colleagues.

Each year the AIMC has reflected upon, and helped shape, the issues that affect the business of motion pictures. In a time of changing technologies, our business is transforming rapidly.

More Great Reasons to Attend the 2010 AIMC:

  1. Preview major studio and independent feature films slated for 2010-2011 release;
  2. See exciting and entertaining local and international product reels of upcoming releases;
  3. See Australia’s hottest stars, filmmakers and industry leaders at the Gala Final AIMC Awards Dinner;
  4. Visit the AIMC trade show and be updated on the many products related to the motion picture industry;
  5. Learn about the issues facing our industry at the many seminars, forums and panels;
  6. Network with top industry executives at the many events.

 Read what our previous delegates have to say:

"I have been attending the movie convention for the past 30 years and regard it as the most important date on the exhibition calendar.  It's a place where exhibitors can see an in-depth line-up of product for the next twelve months and beyond, as well as meet personally with both independent and major distributors.  If you are serious about your business you shouldn't miss it."  Noel Collier, Ritz Cinema, Randwick

"I have had the pleasure of attending 20 conventions and the event is one of the highlights of the year for me.  It's great to see all the upcoming movies and attend the trade show.  It's a wonderful opportunity to network and renew friendships.  I find the seminars interesting and always learn something from them.  The decision to relocate the convention to Conrad Jupiters was a good one, as it eradicates the bus travel to the cinemas and is most convenient having all the events at the same facility.  I am looking forward to this years celebration of cinema."  Bob Mason, Lake Cinema, Boolaroo

 "As an exhibitor with nearly 40 years experience in the industry in both large corporations and smaller operations, I cannot express enough the value of spending four days a year at the annual convention, and the flow-on benefits to my business for the following twelve months - it is the best investment of my time and money that I can make each year."  Richard Parton, Hyperplex Cinemas, Loganholme
