64th Annual AIMC
Despite the current economic climate, the Australian film industry has just recorded the highest grossing year at the box office on record. The cinema business is currently embracing the many changing technologies, including Digital and 3D. To remain positive, relevant and successful the industry is facing the many pertinent issues head-on.
The AIMC provides a forum to reflect upon and shape the issues that affect the business of motion pictures, as well as being the only event to provide opportunities to network with local and international colleagues from all areas of the film industry.
We invite you to join us.
The members of the Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australia are providing their full support of this year's AIMC.
"While the Movie Convention has always been a key diary date on the film industry's calendar, I wanted, on behalf of the MPDAA, to underscore the importance of your company's attendance and presence at this year's Movie Conventon..." Stephen Basil-Jones, Chairman, MPDAA
Member companies of the Australian Independent Distributors Association invite delegates to join them on Monday evening 24 August to "celebrate film; independent film which always offers audiences the wonder of surprise, the excitement of originality, the drama and fun of brilliant writing, the craft of great acting and the opportunity to be entertained by the masters of contemporary cinema in all its forms..." Greg Denning and Natalie Miller, on behalf of the members of the AIDA.
